Stop Searching for Purpose – Try This Instead.
We spend so much time trying to find our purpose, as if it’s a hidden treasure somewhere outside of us. We read books, take courses, change jobs, hoping one day it will all make sense.
But what if purpose isn’t something you find?
What if it’s something that grows from within you, slowly and naturally, once you start living by your values?
Your core values are the things that truly matter to you.
They’re not goals or achievements.
They’re not what others expect from you.
They’re the quiet truths that make you feel grounded and at peace.
But you really have to listen closely. You have to connect to yourself, because your values are inside you.
For some people, it’s freedom or honesty.
For others, it’s connection, growth, or creativity.
Your values are like your inner compass, they guide you, even when you’re not aware of it. That’s why so many people struggle. Not from lack of effort, but from lack of awareness.
When you live in line with your values, life feels clear.
When you don’t, something always feels “off,” no matter how much you achieve.
I used to think purpose was a job title or a big mission.
But purpose isn’t about what you do, it’s about why you do it.
Your values are the roots.
Your purpose is what grows from them.
When you live in alignment with your values, purpose stops being a question. It becomes a feeling, the deep sense that your life finally reflects who you really are.
If your value is growth, your purpose might be to help others evolve or to challenge yourself to expand.
If your value is connection, your purpose might be to bring people together, to make them feel seen.
If your value is peace, your purpose might be to create calm spaces, for yourself and others.
Purpose doesn’t have to be loud. It doesn’t have to impress anyone.
It’s simply the way your values move through the world.
You might notice it when you feel:
These feelings aren’t failures, they’re lead to your solutions.
Your soul is trying to tell you, “This isn’t me.”
But only if you are aware of these feelings, you are able to change things. Here is how you do it.
You don’t need a test or a book to find them. You just need honesty. Without it you will not be able to find your core values or yourself.
It might take some time to recognize your patterns. But once you see them, you can’t unsee them.
I will show you three ways to find your core values.
Think of a few times in your life when you felt most alive, proud, and fulfilled. Not on the surface, but deep inside.
Ask yourself:
You will start seeing patterns, perhaps it was freedom, creativity, or connection. But again, you have to be honest, no matter what on the other hand comes short.
Think of moments that made you angry, frustrated, or deeply disappointed.
For example, if you hate being micromanaged, perhaps freedom or trust is a core value.
Another example would be if you feel uncomfortable or overwhelmed in a crowded space. That discomfort is a signal, not a flaw.
When you look deeper, you might realize that what you actually value is peace, solitude, or emotional space, the ability to recharge in quiet environments. It doesn’t mean you’re antisocial or “too sensitive.” It means you thrive in environments that reflect your inner rhythm.
For each thing you say you want (e.g., “I want to work for myself”), ask why and keep going until you reach an emotional truth.
“I want to work for myself.”
Why? “Because I want to be creative.”
Why? “Because I want to express who I am.”
→ Value: authenticity or self-expression.
“I want to move out of the city.”
Why? → “Because it’s too stressful.”
Why? → “Because I crave more calm.”
Why? → “Because I feel myself again when I’m surrounded by nature.”
→ Value: Peace or Simplicity
And also this
“I want this house.”
Why? → “Because it’s huge.”
Why is that important? → “Because it would show that I’ve made it.”
Why? → “Because then I’m worthy.”
→ That’s not a value — that’s an old story.
But it leads you to the real value underneath, maybe self-worth, simplicity, or authentic living.
So when you notice a desire that’s connected to “showing,” “proving,” or “earning”, it’s a beautiful opportunity to pause and ask:
Most of the time, the answer is one of your true values, things like peace, freedom, authenticity, belonging, or simplicity.
Write down a few words that come up.
Then choose the three that feel most true.
Those are your roots.

When you begin to live by your values, decisions get simpler.
You stop chasing every “should” and start following what feels right.
You don’t need to know your five-year plan, you just need to live one honest day at a time.
Purpose is not a destination.
It’s a direction.
And your values are showing you the way.
Take a moment and ask yourself:
You don’t need to rush the answer.
Just notice what comes up, because that’s where your purpose begins.
Remember, this is a journey, a lifestyle that has no ending.
Our core values are powerful, but only one piece of the puzzle. The real transformation happens when everything begins to connect:
self-acceptance builds confidence
self-love creates fulfillment
your core values reveal purpose
letting go opens the door to peace
And for women there’s another layer, the awareness of our natural cycle.
My dream is for all women to be strong from the inside out, deep aware, confident in every situation and gentle in her power.
Have you ever wondered why people meditate? And have you asked yourself how to meditate? Meditation is a common practice to reduce stress, quiet the mind and focus intentionally. I discovered meditation about a year ago and ever since it opened up so much creativity and awareness for me. But since I’m a fan of…
A gentle reflection on how real change begins. Real change begins quietly, in the moment you stop pretending you’re fine.

Kennst du dieses Gefühl? Du bist gut vorbereitet, kennst dich aus, indem was du tust und du hast eine Menge Erfahrung. Und trotzdem gibt es Momente, in denen du zweifelst. Wie kann das sein? Many of us feel this deep need to be seen. Some more than others. We hide our real thoughts and emotions out of fear of being laughed at or not being accepted. But accepted by who? What are you afraid might happen if you stopped trying to be accepted? It’s never really about them. It’s…
